gloRefine Cleanser exfoliates and cleanses, removing dead skin cells. It treats photoaging, brightens uneven tones and improves skin texture.

1% Glycolic Acid - This is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) derived from sugarcane. Glycolic acid has a very small molecular size, which allows it to penetrate and be absorbed by the epidermis more quickly than other AHAs. AHAs in general are used to treat photoaging because they improve uneven pigmentation, smooth fine lines and improve skin texture. They increase desquamation and exfoliation, thinning the stratum corneum and increasing skin flexibility; synthesis of glycosaminoglycans and collagen increases.

0.5% Salicylic Acid - This acid has a larger molecular size which keeps it on the surface of the skin, allowing it to more effectively penetrate and exfoliate within the pore. This makes it ideal for acne-prone skin. The larger molecular size also produces less irritation, making it a welcome alternative for those with sensitive skin. It also has anti-inflammatory properties as well as antiseptic, fungicidal, anti-oxidant and bactericidal properties. If a patient is allergic to aspirin, do not use salicylic acid on them, as they are chemically similar.

Boswellia Serrata Bark Powder - Anti-inflammatory that stimulates cellular regeneration, tightens and tones through astringent actions, soothes dry and irritated skin.

Citrus Grandis (White Grapefruit) Peel oil - High in vitamin C and potassium. Provides anti-oxidant and antibacterial properties to skin care products.

• Apply a small amount to fingertips and apply to dampened skin. Massage gently for 60 seconds and rinse thoroughly with water. If irritation or dryness occur, reduce use. Use every 3-5 days and rotate with other gloCleansers. Do not use over eyes.
