Dermatix Gel is a topical silicone gel that is a transparent, physical barrier that dries quickly and helps maintain the skin's moisture balance, while aiding the treatment of scarred skin surfaces resulting from surgery, burns and trauma wounds.
Dermatix Gel has been shown to flatten, soften and smooth scars, relieve the itching and discomfort of scars as well as reduce the discoloration associated with scars.
Dermatix Gel rapidly dries to form a sheet; this silicone gel sheet layer is gas permeable, flexible and waterproof and forms a bond with the stratum corneum (the outer layer of dead skin cells) forming a protective barrier against chemical, physical and microbial invasion of the scar site while assisting with hydration. The scar matures through normal collagen synthesis cycles with an improved physical and cosmetic appearance.

• Gently massage a small amount of Dermatix Ultra Advanced Scar Treatment into the affected area twice daily, or as directed by your physician. Use only on clean, dry skin.
  Dermatix is used for the treatment of keloids and hypertrophic scars (such as those resulting from general surgical procedures, trauma wounds and burns), after the wound has healed and the skin surface is intact.
  Dermatix can also be used on children
  Dermatix should not be applied to open or fresh wounds, third degree burns, or in areas underlying dermatological conditions.
  Dermatix should not be placed in contact with mucous membranes, or applied too close to the eyes.
  Dermatix should not be applied over antibiotic skin preparations or other skin treatments and/or products.
  Dermatix should be applied to clean, dry skin only.
