Coal tar soap is a soothing and cleansing antiseptic. Coal tar, the liquid by-product of distilled coal, is well known for its ability to aid in the removal of toxins that build up and often are the source of inflamed, irritated, itchy skin characteristic of skin disorders such as psoriasis and eczema.

Coal tar is the liquid by-product of distilled coal and it is available in numerous prescription or over-the-counter topical creams, gels, ointments, shampoos, and soaps. Coal tar soap and shampoo are both used to eliminate head lice and alleviate the symptoms of dandruff, psoriasis, eczema, seborrheic dermatitis and other common, chronic skin complaints. With powerful antiseptic action, coal tar soap is able to thoroughly cleanse the skin and draw out damaging impurities and toxins.

• Wet hands and skin, generate a soapy lather (does not lather much), and apply to skin in a circular motion for 1-2 minutes avoiding contact with eyes. Rinse skin thoroughly with warm water and pat dry. Follow with regular skin care regimen.
